Restoring Our Green Heritage: A Call to Action in the Brazos Valley
A Billion Trees Lost
In the past twenty years, Texas has lost over a billion trees due to drought conditions. This is reflected in areas around the world as we face deforestation, wildfires, and expansion. This loss serves as a powerful reminder of the urgency for local action.
Our Local Promise: A Million Trees for the Brazos Valley
Here in the Brazos Valley, we refuse to stand idly by. We are launching an ambitious initiative with a clear and powerful goal: to plant or treat one million trees. This is more than just a number and we are more than a tree service business; we have a commitment to restore our local environment and build a healthier, more resilient future for our community.
- Planting: We will focus on planting native, ecologically appropriate trees across urban and rural landscapes.
- Treating: This includes caring for existing trees, which are often the most valuable, through proper maintenance, disease management, and protection from urban development.
Whether we are fighting blight, drought, or flooding, we want to see Brenham changed for the better. Every tree is a step toward cooling our neighborhoods, improving air and water quality, and creating vital wildlife habitats. Join us in transforming our corner of Texas.
The Heart of Our Mission: The Philosophy of Stewardship
At the core of this initiative is the philosophy of Environmental Stewardship and sustainability. Stewardship is the profound belief that we are not merely consumers of the earth’s resources, but caretakers with an ethical obligation to manage and protect the natural world for the benefit of all—today and for future generations.
It is a shift in perspective, moving from a mindset of exploitation to one of guardianship and respect. Stewardship means:
Responsible Management
Making thoughtful decisions about land use and resource consumption, as well as land regeneration.
Long-Term Commitment
Ensuring the perpetual health and sustainability of our natural environment through tree care.
Collective Action
Recognizing that the responsibility for environmental quality is shared by individuals, communities, and organizations alike.
We invite you to embrace this philosophy and become a steward of the Brazos Valley. Your action, no matter how small, is part of this essential legacy of care.

What is included in your standard Tree Removal service?
We safely fell the problematic tree, cut the stump to 4–6 inches above grade, and remove/dispose of all tree debris, leaving your property clean.
How is Selective Land Clearing different from standard clearing?
Selective tree clearing in Brenham and the Brazos Valley includes an initial assessment to discuss your needs. We then specifically choose the best quality trees to keep, remove the unwanted brush, and process suitable biomaterial into mulch for on-site distribution, retaining your natural organic resources.
Will you leave the wood chips after Stump Removal?
No. Our Brazos Valley Stump Removal services includes grinding the stump below grade, and we then remove and dispose of all resulting debris and wood chips.
What is the process for checking for underground utilities?
Texas Tree Services handles utility notification for you. We contact 811 at least two days prior to beginning work to confirm the locations of all underground utilities in the work area.
Do you grade the area after Land Clearing?
Yes, we coarsely grade areas affected by the clearing process so they are ready for your finish grading. Whether removing trees in Brenham, grinding tree stumps near Chappell Hill, or clearing land near Round Top, we will provide basic grading services to help your project flow to the next phase.
